Nowicki and Fiodorow to represent Poland at European Throwing Cup

Poland has announced a team of 19 athletes to compete at the European Throwing Cup in Samorin, Slovakia on 9-10 March.

Their team features reigning European hammer champion Wojciech Nowicki and two-time European hammer bronze medallist Joanna Fiodorow. While Nowicki will be making his debut at the European Throwing Cup, Fiodorow will be looking to claim her third victory in the senior event after back-to-back wins in 2014 and 2015.

The Poles will be particularly strong in the javelin as well. Reigning European U20 champion Cyprian Mrzyglod will compete in the U23 division while Olympic fourth-placer Maria Andrejczyk continues her comeback from injury.
